BCB Group appoints new business leaders to accelerate international growth journey of its Care pathway platform and grow its data solutions

The successful merger of BCB Medical and Health Solutions into BCB Group in 2021 has set the group up for international expansion. BCB Group is now prepared to integrate the teams fully to create a combined organization that can better serve its key customers across markets.

The group’s two new Business Leaders, Emma Höglund and Pasi Korhonen, both have a proven track-record of scaling business internationally. Together, they bring five decades of combined healthcare and life sciences expertise to BCB.

Emma Höglund, Head of Growth at BCB Group

Emma Höglund is appointed as the Head of Care Pathway Solutions, including a state-of-the-art Care Pathway Platform and innovative products, to allow BCB’s customers to integrate, structure and convert data into powerful insights. Emma Höglund joined BCB Group earlier in 2022 as the Chief of Growth.

She brings over 15 years of experience from both the healthcare industry (Sirona, Goldman Sachs) as well as international commercial roles in the life sciences industry (MSD/Merck & Co and Novartis). 

Höglund has her training in Economics & Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Pasi Korhonen, a Strategic Advisor for BCB Group

Pasi Korhonen is appointed as the Head of Data Solutions, including a leading AI-powered data and analytics product platform and leading analytics capabilities, to serve both health systems and global life science companies by converting clinical data into meaningful information.

Pasi Korhonen joined BCB Group as an advisor earlier in 2022. Korhonen is a serial entrepreneur, having successfully built data analytics companies in Real World Data and clinical trials space (StatFinn and EPID Research) that were acquired by IQVIA in 2018.

He brings over 30 years of experience in global Real World Data and clinical trial projects. He is also an Adjunct Professor in Biostatistics.

Korhonen commented on his new role: “I am looking forward to working with the BCB Group’s talented people who have built an impressive portfolio of care pathway solutions and data-driven technologies over the last 20 years. I am excited to assume this position and take on a journey to further build BCB’s Care Pathway Platform products and research knowledge into scalable data-driven solutions for global life science and health care customers. “
