BCB Medical Boosts UK Team: Thomas Wintrip Appointed to Drive Expansion and Address Key Healthcare Challenges

November 2023 – Nordic software and medical data firm BCB Medical has appointed Thomas Wintrip as Business and Partnership Director for the UK as part of its vision to become a dominant force in the UK’s registry data analysis landscape.

Thomas’s role will primarily involve forging robust relationships with local trusts, NHS England and the devolved nations NHS, underlining BCB’s dedication to confronting prevalent challenges in the healthcare sector.

Thomas boasts an impressive background in Orthopaedics spanning over 11 years at JRI Orthopaedics. He was also instrumental in multiple digital transformation projects during his tenure at Olympus Medical and ResMed. “Throughout my career,” Thomas remarks, “I have witnessed the pivotal role of data in healthcare transformation. By comprehending the patient’s reaction to treatments, identifying service delivery bottlenecks, and instigating proactive measures, we can alleviate administrative burdens on physicians, allowing them to focus on core clinical activities. With BCB Medical’s support, I’m eager to cultivate relationships at both local and national levels.”

This strategic appointment follows BCB’s notable presence at HETT23, where they showcased their Clinical Information Management System (CIMS) for the first time to UK stakeholders. The state-of-the-art solution promises to revolutionise the healthcare landscape by automatically amassing, overseeing, and analysing disease-specific data. It aims to mitigate the adverse implications of fragmented patient data, streamline patient treatment pathways, and foster data-driven decision-making, principles that are at the heart of BCB’s mission.

Emma Höglund, BCB Medical’s Head of International Expansion, shared her enthusiasm: “Thomas’s addition to our team is strategic. His vast knowledge transcends specialised domains like Orthopaedics and delves into converting digital projects into tangible commercial opportunities. We’re confident that with Thomas on board, we are set for even greater successes in the UK.”

With a footprint in over 400 clinics spanning Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and now the UK, BCB’s CIMS epitomises the company’s commitment to stellar patient care and service delivery.
