The digital Cascade Screening tool FHabian continues to support healthcare in the important work of diagnosing patients with Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH). The tool has been in clinical use since April 2021 and has since helped find patients with this hereditary (but for some, difficult-to-detect) diagnosis.

The Stockholm Region is now investing 15 million to identify >50% of those who carry the disease within the Stockholm Region. During the years 2022-2024, the goal is to find almost 3,700 patients who today carry the disease without having been diagnosed.
